THE IMPORTANT BITS / LEGAL

Privacy Policy.

Clear information about your privacy and how we handle data.

Last updated: 16 October 2026. This policy explains how James Bros Gaming, an independent games developer based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”), handles information associated with our games and this website.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

James Bros Gaming is the developer and publisher of games including Pipe Frenzy, Scrapheap Launcher and Concrete & Carrots (where released under our name). For questions about privacy, or to request access to or deletion of information, please use our contact form and select “Privacy / data request”. This sends an enquiry to our studio email inbox.

2. Information our games may process

Local game data: Games may store settings, progress, scores and upgrades on your device so you can continue playing. This data normally stays on your device unless a particular game tells you otherwise. You can usually remove local saves by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.

Advertising: Some game releases may use Google AdMob to show ads, including optional rewarded ads. Only games with the AdMob SDK enabled will use this service. Where enabled, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as IP address, mobile advertising identifiers, device and app information, approximate location inferred from IP address, ad interactions, and diagnostic information. This can be used to provide ads, measure performance and help prevent fraud; ad personalisation depends on applicable choices and consent. Learn more in Google’s explanation of data use on partner apps and Google’s privacy policy.

Analytics and crash reporting: A particular game may use a diagnostics or analytics provider to understand technical faults and improve gameplay. If used, that provider may process app usage, device information and crash details. We will identify any such provider and the relevant data practices before publishing or updating that game.

No account required by our current game concepts: We do not currently plan to ask players to create a James Bros Gaming account. If a published game adds sign-in, cloud saves or online features, this policy will be updated to explain the related data collection, retention and deletion procedures.

3. Game-specific services

The games listed below are in development. Features and integrated services must be checked against the actual published Android builds before a game is submitted to Google Play:

  • Pipe Frenzy: puzzle game in development; Google AdMob advertising is planned, including possible rewarded ads, but the final advertising and consent setup must be verified for release.
  • Scrapheap Launcher: physics arcade game in development; confirm advertising and other SDKs before its release.
  • Concrete & Carrots: action game in development; confirm advertising and other SDKs before its release.

The Google Play Data safety declaration for each released game will describe its specific data collection and sharing, including any integrated third-party SDKs.

4. Information collected through this website

When you send us a message through our contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message that you provide. We use this to respond to requests and may keep the correspondence for as long as reasonably needed for follow-up or legal obligations. Our web host may also process technical connection logs (for example, IP address, time, and requested pages) for security and delivery of the website. The website theme itself does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. WordPress or hosting services may use cookies that are necessary for administration, security or site operation; additional plugins may change this.

5. Why we use data and who receives it

We process enquiries to respond to your requests, game data for the features you choose to use, and technical information to maintain security and functionality. Where applicable, third-party advertising and analytics providers process data under their own notices and applicable privacy requirements. We do not sell the contact information you send to our studio. Personal information may be disclosed where required by law or to protect the security of our services.

6. Security, storage and deletion

We take reasonable steps to limit access to enquiries and use HTTPS for our website when configured by the host. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Local game data typically remains on your device until you clear it or remove the game. Third-party services may retain data under their own policies. We retain direct messages only as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry or legal requirements. You can contact us to ask what we hold, request deletion, or exercise applicable privacy rights.

7. Your choices and rights

You may have rights to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability under applicable UK data protection law. You can stop using a game, delete its local data in device settings and manage any advertising-consent choices provided within a game. If you are in the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

8. Children

We do not knowingly request names or contact details from children through our games. Where a game is directed at children or includes children in its intended audience, we will apply the relevant Google Play Families and consent requirements and update the game-specific disclosures accordingly. Parents or guardians may contact us with concerns.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our games, SDKs or legal obligations change. We will update the date at the top when changes are made. Please review it periodically, especially before downloading a newly released game.
